Necklaces made from what?

Some of you know that I inherited a large stamp collection when my dad passed away several years ago.  Lately I've struggled with what I'm going to do with this collection.  After taking it to have it appraised and realizing that most of the stamps aren't worth hardly anything, I knew I had to come up with a plan.  After seeing several blog posts on how to make glass tile pendants, inspiration struck.  Why not make cool, vintage pendants with stamps?  That's just what I did.
Now, when I say my dad had a lot of stamps....he had a LOT of stamps....from a LOT of places.  It's really cool just to go through and look at all the stamps from all over the world, some which are several decades old.  Here are just a few that I've picked out so far to make some pendants with:
This is one I made for my friend Ashley, probably my favorite I've done yet.
I think these turned out so good, and were made using clear glass tiles and Mod Podge Dimensional Magic.  What a cool, vintage piece of jewelry to have!

  7. Great idea! I think it's a nice way to remember your dad. Hope you come up with some more neat projects. I imagine there are but so many necklaces you can wear/give, or even sell. Amy has an extensive Mod Podge idea archive. MP a group on a tray, a wall hanging? A row of them as a bracelet? I should dig out my old stamps that I saved thinking my first nephew would like them, then ended up saving them for my own child, who would have nothing to do with stamp collecting. Seems like we're doomed to see those Liberty Bell stamps forever in the US. I miss the pretty ones.

  10. www.wholesalersusainc.com has round, square and rectangular jeweler's glass (tiles) and decoupage sheets. I'm not affiliated with them at all, just want to draw other people into the madness of crafting!

  16. i am awaiting the tutorial for this pendant. i posted comment on the other pendant blog asking you how you were able to keep the square form on the stamp before placing the glass tile over the dimensional magic.
